Dr. Nabili received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego majoring in chemistry and biochemistry. He then completed his graduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His graduate training included a specialized fellowship in Public Health where his research focused on environmental health and healthcare delivery and management. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were completed at the University of California, San Francisco's affiliate program at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
Dr. Nabili is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He practices Internal Medicine in Southern California and holds active staff attending physician at multiple hospitals in Orange County California, including Mission Regional Hospital, Saddleback Memorial Hospital, and South Coast Medical Center. Dr. Nabili currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, California.
He is a member of the American College Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Nabili has been a medical author for www.MedicineNet.com, a WebMD, LLC company since 2008, and has also published articles in the online textbook eMedicine. Some of Dr. Nabili's past medical educational presentations have included medical optimization and risk reduction of surgical patients, indications for hemodialysis, and screening recommendations for thyroid disease.
Dr. Nabili has also been active in basic science research. His primary graduate research project focused on the toxicology of the chemical Boron as an environmental toxin and its adverse effects on the marine life. His work and research with Boron were subsequently published in the scientific literature. He also contributed in publishing the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) guidelines for various environmental and occupational toxins.
